If you have won the Dakar rally three years after each other, then you are correct in making some money on that fact…

This is what VW have decided to do with it! They will most likely come out with a street legal Touareg called “Volkswagen Race Touareg 3 Qatar”

There are not confirmed information about the car, but it would be nice if they also use the same engine (not only the look…) which would then be a 2,5 liter TDI-engine with 296HP, 5 speed seq. tranny. With this setup will it only use 6 sec from 0 to 100km/h and a top speed of 190km/h. I don’t think it is needed to tune it up too much…. :-))

FLASHBOOSTER PC & Laptop Version - Enjoy the Power!

Is a read and write flasher for use with a computer (PC or laptop).

This FlashBooster version makes the tuning available for the customer at their location. The tuner will have a cost efficiency flash tool that only needs a computer by the customer and the tuner can make tuning files that can be flashed as many times as they want on the same car with the same VIN number – there are NO FLASH LIMITS on this one car.

The system is registered on the customer with the unique VIN number.

Another advantage (beside the cost), is that the FlashBooster system can be online re-activated for use with another car (new VIN number). This re-activation is done by the tuner in a special online administration. This means that the system can be used over again on new cars.

Beside these advantages, have we also put in another system in the FlashBooster – the ScanCan diagnostic tool. This means that the customer may read and clear the error codes on the ecu before and after a tunefile flash.

Powerbox problem....! ---- again......

This picture is from a VW dealership. They had to work hard on the car to find an error - more correct is that they worked for 6 months to find the problem. After several (most likely) attempts they opened the ecu and found the problem.... a "clever" way to add a powerbox!! No wonder the car was not working properly.... No name on the tuner has so far been released. See picture below:

Maybach Coupe!

For a quick refresher, a German coachbuilder brought in Fredrik Burchhardt,

designer of the original Exelero, to pen a modified shape for the new Maybach Coupe. The result keeps most of the saloon's mechanicals in place – including the 600+ horsepower twin-turbo V12 – only with modified bodywork, cabin and (of course) two longer doors instead of four. Seen until now only in sketches, the Xenatec Maybach coupe has been (awkwardly) dubbed the Cruiserio, and it has just made its debut at Daimler headquarters in Stuttgart. The project is now being underwritten by a €70 million ($93M) investment from AutoKingdom of Saudi Arabia. Over the course of three years, Xenatec and AutoKingdom ambitiously

anticipate building 100 examples, and say they've already got enough orders

to keep them busy for the next year or so. Can't wait that long?

The company’s Range Rover Q-VR features an elevated roof in order to create rear-seat space, and to support the truck’s massive, step-through gullwing door. BMW will be showing off its new ConnectedDrive system at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

The tech not only boasts Bluetooth wizardry and a text-to-speech function that will

allow drivers to access text messages, memos, emails and the like from their Blackberry,

it will also work with Apple iOS4. That means that the system clicks with the latest iPhone and

soon also iPad!

There's even a handy docking system for the iPad in the back seats.And BMW will

Powerbox problem....!

This is how a powerbox is mounted in a BMW 330d from 2000 -- no wonder we didn't get connection with the ecu. Putting it back in and the car didn't start - only a small push on the cables on the powerbox and the car started again. Dangerous !?? YES!! It will be taken off and replaced with a tune file in the ecu instead!

RS6 going out of production

Within end of September this year will the RS6 be taken out of production. Reason is that the new A6 and its RS6 will be on the market next year. The current generation Audi RS6 is powered by a twin-turbo V10 engine that delivers 580 hp and 650 Nm. The next RS6 Audi will drop the V10 engine in favor of a twin-turbo V8 engine with an output between 550 and 600 HP. So if you would like a brand new RS6 now, you should make an order today!

From time to time we all use airplanes, and perhaps you've wondered what the pilots talk about with the tower..? Well, here are some few lines..

Tower: "Delta 351, you have traffic at 10 o'clock, 6 miles!"
Delta 351: "Give us another hint! We have digital watches!"

Tower: "TWA 2341, for noise abatement turn right 45 Degrees."
TWA 2341: "Center, we are at 35,000 feet. How much noise can we make up here?"
Tower: "Sir, have you ever heard the noise a 747 makes when it hits a 727?"

From an unknown aircraft waiting in a very long takeoff queue: "I'm f...ing bored!"
Ground Traffic Control: "Last aircraft transmitting, identify yourself immediately!"

The German air controllers at Frankfurt Airport are renowned as a short-tempered lot. They not only expect one to know one's gate parking location, but how to get there without any assistance from them. So it was with some amusement that we (a Pan Am 747) listened to the following exchange between Frankfurt ground control and a British Airways 747, call sign Speedbird 206.
Speedbird 206: "Frankfurt, Speedbird 206 clear of active runway."
Ground: "Speedbird 206. Taxi to gate Alpha One-Seven."
The BA 747 pulled onto the main taxiway and slowed to a stop.
Ground: "Speedbird, do you not know where you are going?"
Speedbird 206: "Stand by, Ground, I'm looking up our gate location now."
Ground (with quite arrogant impatience): "Speedbird 206, have you not been to Frankfurt before?"

We have found a small error in our latest Newsletter from 4th of March, an error that you as customer will find good: The Debugger TriCore update will work with the OptiCan One system without any kind of adapter! Only the Hybrid and the Pocket needs an additional adapter. Furthermore do we want to point out the fact that the Debugger TriCore license is a onetime fee, and not a yearly fee.

Lumma Design often comes up with some cool sleek designs, and now they have done it again. The Panamera they have now is indeed very sleek! Nice look and also some good power. They have put on some 22 inch rims and got the engine up to 700hp - nice guys!

OK.... Mansory has done some cool stuf again - however, the colors are not very nice! The idea, design and performance on the other side, is nice. For the engine Mansory used enlarged bi-turbo chargers, an ECU optimization, sports manifold and the sports catalysers and they obtained 720 hp and 780 NM of torque. As a result 0 to 60 mph is made in 4,4 seconds and top speed goes up to 309km/h (192 mph).

This you don't get to see very often - two spy photographers got lucky when they were tailing a camouflaged 2012 MB ML prototype on a snowy road. The prototype ML was going to help another car - a CL AMG facelift (also a test car) that was gone offroad....
The MB guys tried to pull out the CL only with the ML, but no such luck! Then they hook up a S class in the midle..... Check the video :-)
